NEWS! TIKKA is awarded BEST PUPPY IN SHOW May 2008 at only 9 1/2 months old! Two weeks earlier she finished her Junior Hunter title. WOW!! July 12, 2008 - TIKKA easily earns her Working Certificate! July 19, 2008 - TIKKA is awarded BEST PUPPY IN SPECIALTY SHOW, at the NOVA SCOTIA DUCK TOLLING RETRIEVER CLUB OF CANADA B.C. REGIONAL SPECIALTY SHOW! April 26, 2008 - TRIO earns her first SENIOR HUNTER pass! August 23, 2008- TRIO earns her WORKING CERTIFICATE EXCELLENT title. 2009 NEWS! Trio and Tikka had an amazing duck hunting season. First season for Tikka but she quickly learned from her mom and then took over. At that point we started hunting the dogs individually. The season ended all too quickly but the freezers are full so it’s on to tests and trials. March 22 - TIKKA earns her first qualifying score towards her COMPANION DOG title. May 3 - TRIO earns her second SENIOR HUNTER pass. May 15 – TIKKA earns her WORKING CERTIFICATE INTERMEDIATE title at the NSDTRC of Canada Specialty in Kitchener Ont. May 16 – TIKKA earns another qualifying score towards her COMPANION DOG title also at the Specialty. May 17 - Again at the Specialty, in an entry of over a 130 tollers, TIKKA makes the first cut in the breed ring and then places 4th in a very competitive GUN DOG class. Although not the eventual winner, this placing, along with her success in both the field and obedience ring, while at the Specialty, made Tikka one of only two dogs to qualify for the 2009 Fair Dinkum Toller Award! June 7 - TIKKA wins High In Class in the obedience ring with a score of 197! This qualifying score, along with her two previous passes, earns her COMPANION DOG TITLE! With this title,TIKKA has followed in her sire and dams paw prints by earning the much coveted, NOVA SCOTIA DUCK TOLLING RETRIEVER CLUB OF CANADA DOBIRSTEIN AWARD! August 22 - TIKKA passes and earns her WORKING CERTIFICATE EXCELLENT TITLE going two for two at back-to-back tests! Sept. 19 - TRIO and TIKKA BOTH pass the Golden Retreiver Club of BC SENIOR HUNT TEST! This was TRIO’S third SH pass and TIKKA’S first. 2010 NEWS! May 29 - TRIO earns her final qualifing score for her SENIOR HUNTER TITLE! |

| A Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever came into our lives as a seven week old ball of fluffy energy in early 2003. Our family had loved and lived with golden retrievers for fifteen years previous to this time but our toller, Trio, was to become our first "performance" and hunting dog. Little did we know just how immersed in the dog world the family would become with our little red girl. As you browse through the Kasomor website, you'll get a taste of just how far our family has "gone to the dogs!" ENJOY! |
